I was thinking of having a champagne midnight brunch at the end of my party. Maybe plated belgian waffles, fruit, and bagels and lox OR a brunch station with omlettes, fruit, waffles, and bagels. Has anyone priced this at all? Have you ever been to a wedding where they did this? I won't be having a really HUGE cocktail hour (I would do this instead with the $$), so I think people will still have some room. Also, my parents' friends LOVE to eat.

its a nice idea.... another suggestion.... ive also seen the idea of giving out a bag with donuts, or bagel with cream cheese, something breakfast like, but they can take home and eat in the morning..

It is a great idea, but to tell you the truth, I have been to many late evening weddings, and I would appreciate a bag of muffins, or bagels, and a newspaper, I know I am exhusted after partying all night, I would not want to eat again, and then have it lay on me all nite. A doggy bag would be nice of that stuff to take home for the next morning. Also, figure in the cost factor, lox can get very expensive. Just my opinion.

Speaking only for myself, I'm usually stuffed at the end of a wedding & I'm not looking for more food. Also, there are always some people who leave a little early & won't even know about the midnite brunch. I do like the idea of sending your guests home with bagels or muffins & the newspaper though.

thanks for the honest feedback everyone! I am still considering doing a 'brunch coarse' but maybe not at the very end. Also, the take-home is definitely an option - hmm...
