What kind of a pen do you put next to a wishbowl for people to write on the notecards? Do you just buy a fancy pen, or do you buy one of the pen and pen holders that say go with a guestbook? Hum...i have no idea!

you could do one of those pens with a stand... or just a nice, fancy pen...your choice

I'm putting out a whole cupful of pens--I want people to take their time over the cards, and that way they can take a card and a pen and come back later. Haven't done it yet, but I'll get some pretty stick pens. Maybe gel pens, if they're permanent, I'll have to find out.

i put out a bunch of decent ball-point looking pens. i didnt want people to feel rushed when they wrote.
just a suggestion for the wishbowl...have the dj announce its location and invite guests to fill out a wish card. many of our guets didnt even know it was there (even thoug it was right in front of them the whole night) included dh's parents.
I like the idea of a bunch of pens in a copule of holders on the table. This way guests won't have to wait until one person finishes using the 'fancy'pen to signt he guest book or wish cards. Try Staples for multipacks of pens that look decent, or for gel pens in different colors.

Good ideas. I think you girls are right about putting out a bunch of pens. I don't want people to feel rushed and i'll make sure the dj makes an announcement
