Might be able to add the screen package with my DJ!

FH just said that if we can consolidate our debt and make his mom's basement into a full apt that we can do a few extras for the wedding. We both liked the video screen from the DJ so we are going to look into it! It's a little something fun before 2 years of saving and paying bills- darn high NYC costs! Not as good as that destination wedding...

We did the screen thing and it was great.

Find out if you get the digital files of the photos they take!

That's a good idea- I have to gather all of tapes b/c I want my friend to make a montage of our friends from our vacation videos- I'll have to include still pics of some that aren't in the videos tho...It'll add a lot more work but I hope we can do it!

We did it all--baby photo montage, montage of photos of us and 'zap shots' photos from the wedding that were put up on screen. I am so glad we did all of this.

Bravo sounds in Astoria-both of my MOH brothers used them and they were great. I'm pretty sure that my neighbor used them also.

Now to get FH to dig up his old baby pics!

I think I am going to go with the screen too. FH loooved the idea, they even let you receive text messages during the wedding that they put up on the screen, which should be fun. Of course this means I am way over budget for my DJ, LOL.

I was a little sad when we couldn't do it- we still have to actually call the DJ and add it on- we'll see what happens when we look at the total bottom line. It's the little things now...I fought having a NY wedding but these touches make me excited!

How does this work... and who does this?

Any of the 2 Dj's we saw offer the screen(s). They either offer projection screens and/or plasmas- depending on your room size and time of day (projection screens are horrible for day weddings) you include it in your package. They ususally include photo montages that are edited by them and played during special dances - the & and bride/father and groom/mother dances. Some even play a little montage during dinner. They also take pics during the reception and show those on the screens so guests see themselves that from that night!

Most DJ's should offer this- just ask them.
