Might be out of the ordinary...but...

Does anyone know of an eyebrow expert in Nassau or Suffolk??? My family keeps telling me my eyebrows need to be thicker but apparently, I'm tweezer happy! I was hoping to find someone I can go to who can tend to them for the next 2.5 months! Ha! Thanks!!!

I use a lady named Donna. She is great!! Ive seen her fix up eyebrows of people who started very bad. She works out of Stavros Salon in Albertson. She rentss space though from them so she makes her own hours which are limited unfortunately. But I would definately give her a call.

Its $15 dollars and then I usually give a tip. I know its pricier than the nail salons but its for expert work, ya know.

(she does great and can start you off with a shape but no matter what, obviously you have to let them grow out and thats when she can really work wonders to give you a great look)

Good luck!

Here's the trick - you can't touch them for like 3 weeks! Let them grow in before you go to get them done. And my other suggestion is to get them threaded. It's a lot more precise than waxing and lasts longer.

Ok..and does threading hurt?!?!?!? I can pretty much tolerate pain and have tattoos but my skin is sensitive....

Yes, threading hurts like HELL! I'm all about waxing though. I started going to Eden Total Skin Care in Rockville Center! They are AWESOME!!!! They re-shapped my eyebrows and now I get compliments on them ALL THE TIME!!!

Ok... I'm not sure what do now! I know I need to keep my hands off and let them grow...but I need a plan. Once they've grown in...I need a direction. My skin is way too sensitive for waxing.......

I don't have a recommendation for you - the girl I used to go to moved, and I've been keeping mine tame on my own - but I don't think threading hurts at all. If you're tweezer happy, it doesn't really hurt much more than tweezing. I've never waxed my eyebrows so I can't compare to that. But I tweeze, and I don't think it hurts much more than that.

I do agree that you should grow those babies in before doing any kind of shaping!

Good luck!

I only trust my brows to Arti at Red Door in Garden City. She does threading. It's pricey ($30) but she does a great job. I get a lot of compliments on my brows (odd, I know), but I'll take the praise where I can get it!

Hmm..Ok... I work 2 minutes from Garden City so maybe I'll give her a call once they've grown in.... In your opinion, does threading hurt...???
