For all of you gals who suffer from Migraines like me what do yo do/take for them? I was just started on Inderal which is a preventive medication. I hope that it helps me, but Im open to any suggestions.

excedrin migraine is my miracle drug... works better then the prescriptions for me...

I agree- terrible migraines are in my family's medical history unfortunately... I been given migraine meds like Migrapap- which has another name too- dont remember cause i DONT USE IT- it worked a few times when i first got it years ago- NOW NOTHING but excedrine migraine will work! (except when they are so bad I go to my doc and he gives me a shot - i have only had this happen 2x but that stuff works

Up until I got pregnant I was taking Topamax. It worked wonders & I had absolutely no side effects. (I was on an extremely low dosage). Before that I took Excedrin Migraine, which kind of helped, just took the edge off really. Imitrex didn't work for me.

I use the imitrex injection. I also take migra lieve and melatonin as a preventative.

I have tried a ton of different medication and the only one that worked for me is Inderall. I have been taking it for 3 or 4 years and I can count how many mirgraines I have gotten since then on 1 hand. At the time I was up to like 3 aweek I was sick from them all the time.

I would give anything to stop these things myself. Excedrin Migraine and well as Advil Cold & Sinus work at times (depends if it's weather influenced!).

Having one now..regular Exedrine works better than anything for me..I don't have any right now..I'll have to suffer until I go out to the drug store.

i use excedrin migraine and my sister gave me this hard foam thing you lay under your neck area it applys pressure to the nape of neck it works wonders

I used to take Imitrex until I had a reaction to it - but it worked wonders for me...now I'm on the pill and get them a lot less often and less painful when they do occur.

Excedrin used to help me but now I think my migraines come mainly from my neck area. I am having trouble finding anything to work. My doc gave me a prescription for imitrix but I dont want to start using it because I tend to depend on things like that too much and I dont want to get too used to it.
