Mike's birthday...

FH is going to be 26 on Oct. 10th. WHAT SHOULD I GET HIM????!!!!!!!! I can stick to clothes, but I wanted to do something different. Any ideas??? The man never talks about things he wants, he just buys them...

What does he do? - does he work in an office- maybe you can get him something for his office - I am getting FH a small gum ball machine by jellybelly - plus i am taking him out to dinner and surprising him with comedy club tickets where i am inviting all hsi friends -

How much are you thinkin of spending?

not sure about your FI's tastes what about -
- racing school, when you can drive the cars with a professional Indy driver
- skydiving
- cooking class - I was just reading about Mario Batali teaching a bunch of men.

He ownes a construction company, he has no where to put a gumball machine..lol. But that is a cute idea.

There is this spa upstate somewhere I think kind of like a gurneys inn where they specialize in like sports massages and all other kinds of manly massages and skin treatments. Maybe I can get him and I a package to go for a night. I don't care how much to spend, as long as I know he will love it.

Has anyone heard of this spa place I am referring too? I can't remember the name.

He is a watch freak, has about 10, but thanks for the idea.

Skydiving would be sick, plus I would like to do that too, and that certainly would be a birthday to remember...

Hey, his birthday is the day before mine!

FH always tells me, when in doubt buy him a watch. And I'm always in doubt, lol, but I already told him I'm not buying any more watches! But a watch box is another idea.

I am getting him an upgraded rolex for the wedding, so I want to steer clear of watch gifts for now...

You guys don't think the spa idea is good??

Get him something from Home Depot or Lowes maybe....I am taking it that he is very handy since he is in construction.

Does he like cars?

He is at Lowes and Home Depot all the time, I figure I would steer clear of that...

He isn't big on cars really. Like he doesn't collect anything like that...

His hobbies are the gym and me!!..lol Thats why I thought a sports massage and that kinda thing woudl be nice for him.

He's a libra which means he LOVES to be pampered, (if you believe in that stuff) so he should love your spa idea! Can you tell my FH to get that for me too?

the spa is a good idea if you know he'll like it. Since it's upstate you can also make a romantic weekend out of it ( dinner, wine, etc) Maybe stay in a B&B?
I just realized your FI's bday is 3 days before mine, Libras are wonderful people -LOL

Well from what I hear there are like 2 tables in 1 room so we can both get massages. It is supposed to be very romantic. Fireplace in the room, candles lite, the whole nine. Then again I get to have my own massages and stuff too..lol So it pans out to be great for me too...

Anytime you can benefit from a gift you're giving to your FH, I say go for it! LOL Just kidding.

I think the spa idea sounds fantastic - relaxing, romantic...I would go for it. Hey - when you remember the name, pass it along to me, k?
