MIL Vent

This past Saturday I picked up my wedding album along with the parents albums and pictures that I had duplicates. The albums came out beautiful. My mom was soooooooo happy. Yesterday, DH went to see his family and gave his mom her album and pictures for the family. His family has been busting my chops this entire year for the album and pictures. I told them that it takes a while and I explained the whole process. Still everytime I saw them, they kept asking me about when are they getting the pictures.

I told my parents and friends that his mother will find something wrong with the album and pics. I just had this gut feeling. Last night, DH went to the gym and I was home. His mom calls and said that the album is very beautiful................., but (because there always has to be a but) how can I get pictures for the family because they are asking for pictures. I said that I would have to give the proofs back to the photographer to have copies made. Then she's like no, can I go through the proofs and keep the ones that I want to give. Hell f-ing NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am keeping ALL proofs. Then I said that I put extra pics in the bag with the album that you selected when we were going through pics for your album. She was like I don't see it and then she was calling FIL and they were found. She took at least 10 years off of my life with that stunt. I was on the verge of tears because she was stressing me out so much. When DH finally came home, I told him that his mother called and took 10 years off of my life, so I explained the whole conversation. I told him that no one was taking any of our proofs. We paid all that money, I'm keeping all of them. Its not like in his family's house family pictures are displayed. There is only 1 pic which is of my DH in his Army uniform, that's it and that's in his parents bedroom. I just think its strange that no one has any family pictures displayed. Anyway, I told DH that I didn't need anymore stress this week. Tomorrow, I'm going for an HSG because I'm having a problem getting pregnant. I just didn't need his mother's BS.

Thanks for the hugs. It gets better. She called me at work to tell me that she brought her pics to work and she wants to give out more pics to her friends at work. She wanted me to find out how much a 5 X 7 would be because she wants to hand that size out inside of the 4 X 6's that she ordered before. Well she's not going to be too happy when she finds out that its going to be $16 ea. I'm sure she'll bring up the subject of me giving her my proofs will come up again.

silly question, why not let her go to kodak picture maker or scan them at home to make copies? That would solve everything.

oooh lots of hugs & love...just think that it could always be worse. To take the weight off your shoulders, i'd either tell her to go to a kodak picture maker or give her ur photographers number & let her do whatever she wants. u don need added stress on top of the other stuff ur dealing with...we all love ya..u can always vent on here!
