ME!!!

My FI is in the Army. He's away in Washington for 2 months right now for training

I'm marrying a Marine!
He's in NC at Cherry point.
He'll be home for the 120 for 4th of July, he hasnt seen the place I booked so hopefully he likes it!



I hope the tiem flies by!

Aww...i'm sure he'll love any place that you get married!
Fi left me here to take care of all the wedding stuff--its been stressful, but its also helped to keep my mind off him being gone.

Are you incorporating the military into your wedding in any way??

He's wearing his blues, and we might have some of his friends come and do the whole swords thing when we walk under them.

I didn't like the idea at first but it's something to be proud of and I'm proud of him so I gave in.

Yea FI is also wearing his blues and we're doing the arch of sabers (so excited for that part, its so cute!). We're also cutting the cake with his saber, I have a custom made camo garter w/ a dog tag attached to it, our cake topper is a bride and soldier, and our ice sculpture is going to be his branch insignia with our names on it.

I didnt like the whole military thing in the beginning..it took me a long time to warm up to it. I just didnt get it. But after a while I started to learn more about it and realized its something he loves to do and is proud to be a part of. I'm all hooah about it now, but it took a long time to fully understand it. i cant wait to be a military bride

How long is your FI in NC for?

Hes there til hes out in 09. So ill be there too.

That garter idea is so cute!

and for the cake topper his mom bought one like it but with a marine in dress blues and they match the marine to his exact uniform with like metals and names and rank so its cool.

yea, I love the cake toppers that match exactly to what they're wearing--so cute!

The garter is a lot of fun (its a surprise for my FI). I got it from www.hccgarters.com The woman's name is Joanne and she was so great to work with and it wasnt expensive at all. If you want more info about it you can FM me anytime.

FI and I are putting in the list of our top 3 posts to be stationned at this coming fall. Ft. Bragg in NC is our first choice!
Do you and FI have a place yet?

No place yet but im going down there for my birthday in aug. Were going to go house hunting.

ive never been to bragg but lejeune is nice and his base is pretty nice too.

Haha...that would be so funny... two LIW brides living in NC. Im definately worried about not being able to see my family and not having my friends around though :(

Nowhere!! He is out and done now thank god!!

I spent the majority of my life as a military brat stationed all over this country and the world. And then the past four years with FH. I loved the life, I loved the moving....but I'm done. Stick a fork in me. I have put in my time as a military dependant.
