My cousin just called me and told me her fiance is finally back on US soil!!!!
he is a ranger in the army and just got home tonight, after 6 months of bein in afganistan....
they are getting married june 10th, and for a while it was touch and go whether he was going to make it back in time... i couldnt imagine what she is going through, i miss my FH when he works a 24!
Any one else have a fiance overseas??

My brother is in the Navy and he was in Afghanistan for 6 months as well. We planned my wedding around his deployment to Iraq, but luckily it was canceled the week before he had to leave!!
It's soooooooooooo hard having a family member in the military. They miss out on so much!!! And, it's a constant worry. When my brother was in Afghanistan, I cried for days when I missed his Christmas phone call b/c I was getting a manicure!!!

not me, but my sister is engaged to a guy in the military. they were living in VA for a few months, then he got stationed in Cali. she's there alone for a few months while he's in bootcamp/training in oklahoma until august...then he goes to afganistan in decemeber :( I wouldn't be able to handle that!

My brother just got home from Afghanistan too, he must be in the same unit because he is a ranger and has been there for 6 months as well, I know they are a small unit, do you know if he is based out of Ft. Benning?

kinda of a similar situation with FH hes not military or overseas but hes a merchant marine working on a ship out of houston. he works 30 days in a row then hes home for 15. its finally scheduled to change some time this summer when he goes 9-5 with his company (only downside is we have to live near the port in houston ) its tough and i miss him every minute of every day but i really think its made us a stronger couple.

YES!! They moved to georgia a couple months before he got deployed... he is a ranger too! Thats sooo funny, thank god they are all home safe
