HELP ive narrowed it down to the miller place in or the meadow club in port jefferson, both VERY reasonable in price and i was just wondering if anyone has been married or gone to events at these locations and there thoughts?? THANKS :)
Sorry if this is silly but I grew up 5 minutes from the Meadow club so I had to post. I had my sweet 16 there in 2005 so it has a special place in my heart. Obviously this was before the renovations, so I won't comment on the appearance. My family went on and on about how good the food was-- and mind you at a Sweet 16 Im sure most places don't put in their absolute best effort. The staff was friendly and helpful and my mom loved them. It could not have gone better. My only issue with it for a wedding is how close it is to 112 and the shopping plaza. I will say, once inside you don't know any of that. I have never been to Miller Place inn but I have read good things on here. Good luck!

never heard of meadow club. also never made it to Miller place inn we booked the sterling caterers. but the Miller place inn looks beautiful! I know there was a2013 bride that wrote a review on Miller place inn and there is a 2014 bride that hasn't gotten married yet!
we went to meadow club and found it expensive based on the fact that it was falling apart. this was 2 yrs ago so they may have done some renovations (we were told they would be). i've heard good things about miller place inn but i've never been
Hi, I really like the Miller Place in. I went to the wedding there and had a great time. We looked at it for our wedding but the only thing I didn't like is that EVERYTHING was extra. From the seat covers to the cake stand. And we looked at the Meadow club too and that place is a dump. I have a family member who is a DJ and he said that is the worse place he has ever been to. Go with Miller Place if its between the two. Good Luck!
Go with Miller Place Inn, it is one wedding at a time! Meadow Club could have three events going on at once and I know it isn't doing well, it's scary to think your venue could shut down before your wedding. Check out some Lessing's venues also for resonable prices, especially Smithtown Landing, Brentwood Country Club and the Mansion at West Sayville.
i looked at meadow club too. i wasnt crazy about the place but i felt the price couldn't be beat for what they were offering! i ended up going with Three Village Inn. Price was about the same but i'm getting less food. but the quality will be better and the place is beautiful!
I too live riht by the Meadow Club and had my Sweet 16 there (I turn 30 on Tuesday so we are going back some) but they did a WONDERFUL job. Everyone raved about the food and service for months after. My SIL's shower was at the Miller Place Inn and it was very nice too!
