Re: MILLER PLACE INN BRIDES?

Hi...

I just went (actually I was a BM) to a wedding at MPI.... I thought the place was lovely. The bridal attendants were not that helpful and we had to track them down for the bride. The coctail hour was ok- some of the food was good. They had the coctail hour room plus the garden and it was crowded. They had about 150 ppl. There were not enough waiters/waitresses passing around o'hourdorves, which were cold when we got to them. My DH had the filet mignon which he said (and others) was faboulous. I had the chicken wrapped in filo dough and spinach and I didn't like it. Another couple at our table had the salmon and said it was not good. I thought it was poorly organized but that's JMO and perhaps how the bride wanted to do things. Before I went to this wedding I had heard wonderful things about the MPI. I dont' want to nescessarly knock them but this is just what I expierenced. Best of luck to you!

Re: MILLER PLACE INN BRIDES?

Oh my heart just dropped after reading this post, I think I have to stay away from this site until after my wedding at the MPI in 11 days, I can't take anymore stress.
I always liked the food at the showcases and the place is beautiful if that helps.

Re: MILLER PLACE INN BRIDES?

I'm getting married at the MPI next July..I've heard nothing but wonderful things about it, and so far I've been to 2 showcases there and the food was very good. The place is beautiful also. HOwever, both of my sisters got married at East Wind country gardens and that place is excellent also. The food is amazing there and the grounds are breathtaking. I needed the estate at east wind and they were very pricey so I chose the MPI...both are great...tough decision!

**Joesbride - Thanks for the input. It's a tough choice as both places are very nice. May I ask how many people you are having? We expect about 150 and I'm thinking the MIP might be tight.

I am getting married at the East Wind and Fiance Best Friend and Cousins got married there. The service and the food are amazing there. They have a showcase coming up This Thursday I would defenitly check it out if I was you. I am so happy that I chose the East Wind and every time I tell someone where we are getting married they have nothing but good things to say about the East Wind. Do a search on here for both places and see what kind of results you get.

Re: MILLER PLACE INN BRIDES?

I went to a wedding at MPI about a year ago and everything was wonderful. The food and service were great and I really enjoyed the frozen drinks handed out during cocktail hour I've never been to East Wind so I cant make any comments on which one would be better for you.

Re: MILLER PLACE INN BRIDES?

I'm having about 200 at the MPI...I think you will be perfect with 150..they told me that you can set up the tables anyway you want (with 12 people or 10 or 8) to your liking. She told me about 230 is pretty tight so I think 150 will be fine..I envy you!! Def. check out the EAst Wind showcase though..that place is great too!
