Milleridge & 5 hour receptions

Milleridge & 5 hour receptions

Hey Girls

I wanted some opinions. I have a 5 hour reception at the milleridge which includes coctail hour. I feel like its sooo short. we have an hour for cocktail and an hour for viennese. That only leaves three hours of eating and dancing. The extra hour looks to be around $6.00 per person plus a bar fee. I cant afford to spend that right now unless I cut other things out. What do you think? The party is 7-12. I would do 7-1, since they dont let you do earlier than 7pm. Do you think it is worth it to try to scrape the money together? (Also, I'd need to pay the band to stay!)

I honestly dont think its totally neccessary. My cocktail is 6:30-8 and my reception is 8-12. All the weddings i've been too were usually a 4 hour reception too. Also what day of the week are you getting married on? because if its on a sunday and you push it until 1 in the morning people may not stay.

Its a Saturday night, so I know that people will stay. My Friend was telling me, the last hour all the people who leave are the ones you want to leave anyone (your parents friends and people you dont really know) your family and friends end up staying and partying. I'm so conflicted about it!

I think 4 hours is plenty. Most of the 5 hour weddings I've been to people start leaving at after 4 hours. Maybe to 45 min cocktails and a 45 min Viennese that'll give you and extra half hour for dancing and wouldn't cost you anything extra
