Milleridge Brides....

Why did you choose the Milleridge?
My FH and I are going back and forth on why we should and why we shouldn't have our reception there. I need you help.

We want to have our reception in the winter or colder months.

Just realized you probably weren't a real bride - IMO, that's really unprofessional.

That was uncalled for.
I don't understand your comment.

I certainly didn't mean to offend you, but your info appeared suspicious (2011?), and I've seen phony brides before. That's all.

There is nothing suspicious about her bio except the date but her post wasn't suspicious--she didn't rave about the millerage which is usually the case w/ most 'fake brides'. She also has 109 posts most fake brides have 10.

Sorry not a Millerage bride but I have been there in the winter months & it really pretty with all their decorations. Also i know why I fell in love with my hall & it is b/c the food is great the service is incredible & it is a beautiful place & in my budget--which in some cases goes out the window.

JMO. Again, not trying to offend anyone, and apologizing if I unintentionally did.

Certainly you DID offend me.
I was really bothered and pissed.
The reason why my date is not posted is because I haven't set a date. Obviously that is why I am asking about the Milleridge.

Thank you to those that stuck up for me and to those that thought I was a fake, IMO YOU are unprofessional. and I DON'T need to explain myself to you.

I choose Milleridge because they only have one wedding at time and i loved the cocktail room. Wedding permitting I wanted my wedding outside and I like having the florist and bakery same place. It has made planning easier because we moved to CT. I also really liked out BM and she helped us with so much.

Why we chose Milleridge Cottage:
- one event at a time
- not at all shiny
- loved the CH room
- liked indoor and outdoor space
- no stairs for guests other than BP
- price

I'll bump the Milleridge thread for you, so you can see what other brides have said.

Hi,

I answered on the offical Milleridge thread, but FM me if you have any specific questions. I loved the Milleridge, but different things work for different people/situtations.

Re: Milleridge Brides....

I love the Milleridge for a million reasons. First I never thought I even wanted a big, catering hall wedding so it was really hard to even wanna go look at places. MR was the 2nd place I saw and I compared everything after to it.
I think the staff was sooooo nice. I hear the food is outrageous. Its not too flashy. The room is beautiful and I LOVE the atrium room. I love how the whole room opens up and the guests get to enjoy all rooms and arent stuck in one room all night. The price was great too. And bc im getting married there, it was imporant to me that the place had nice ceremony facilities whcich they do (the atrium)

Feel free to FM me anything.
Michele

ps- dont be mad at the other bride. We are all here to help each other and although your post didnt seem really that fake, I guess any of us MR brides would never want the MR to be doing somethng fake to get info bc that would taint our feelings about it. She was only trying to protect the MR brides. Dont be angry- YOURE ENGAGED!!!

I've seen pictures from winter weddings there and they look beautiful. The decorations are great, and you have that nice fireplace.

I also liked the one at a time factor and love the atrium.

Re: Milleridge Brides....

Thanks ladies you made me feel better.
I love the MI for all the same reasons as you posted, but I did have some reasons to worry.

First, I thought that a valet parking service or option for it should be included.

I thought the woman's bathroom needed to be updated. One of the stalls had the door falling off.

My mother pointed out that the ceiling tiles were old and very dirty in the ball room.

So of course this has me worried.
But their was so much more beauty in the facility that I don't want that to bother me.
I really really like the MI.

Only time will tell.
Thanks again.
