What did everyone do for the mantel? Flowers or candles? and If you did candles, where did you get them?
Milleridge will be done for xmas for my wedding but I didn't love the big Santa on the mantel from last year LOL... not sure if I would do additional flowers there or candles? Also, did you have flowers or candles on the piano?

Here's a pic where you can see how the mantel came out.
We ended up having two extra CPs (mind you, mine were very inexpensive since I bought the vases myself and wanted simple simple) so one of them went up there. The small candles are votives I purchased for all the tables that had electric flicker lights inside them (DH had a bad fire a few years ago so I try to keep him away from fire when possible... of course, we had our unity candle on the table in front of us, so that didn't work lol but it was the thought that counted!).
I have NO CLUE what was on the piano. I believe the candles the hall has (small tealight glass votives with white candles) were on there. I didn't do anything special with it, and I didn't think twice about it.

I will try to post the pix... i am not lucky with this...
anyway.. we did candles on the mantle, i purchases them at either, joann's, michaels, ac moore... i saved my receipts and returns the vases after the wedding!!!
as far as the piano, we did a wedding picture display. we took our family and friends wedding pix and put them there. i think we had some votives mixed in.
i dont have a pic of the piano set up, but i have the wedding pix display at my house. it was a huge hit. people were surprised to see themselves!! also it is kinda neat to see the styles change through the years. we had pix from the 1940's to 2008!!
