Hey Milleridge Brides - do any of you know when their next showcase is? I heard they do one in the fall (which was oct. 17th), and also one in the winter.

question for you guys: are you doing 12 per table? The milleridge told me that they can fit that many, but I'm thinking 10 max. would fit comfortably.. We paid for 20 centerpieces through the florist, but we are thinking we might have over 200 guests at the wedding now, so we will either have to keep it at 20 tables with 12 per table, or add a couple extra tables

thoughts?

i think you can get away with 12 - those tables are really long, which is great! less centerpieces :)

Hi! I'm getting married in June at the Cottage. Has anyone used the florist or heard any good/bad reviews? I can't find anything online and am hesitant to book with them.

I heard the florist at the milleridge village is very good but very pricey... I didn't really look into them because they told me at the cottage that I could probably get a better price somewhere ele.

Thanks! If anyone else has feedback about the quality of work at the Milleridge Florist, it would be greatly appreciated!

I met with them a couple of weeks ago and I thought their prices seemed reasonable. Maybe I just went other VERY expensive florists beforehand. Anyways, I am going next week to check out the sample Scott made for us so we'll see!!

Hi maimai - I spoke with Scott a few weeks ago at the bridal showcase and I am going to make an appointment with him sometime soon! His prices seemed reasonable to me - he does not charge any delivery fees to the cottage (b/c his shop is obvioulsy so close), but he also does not charge delivery for the bouquets and/or boutonnieres to your house or wherever you are getting ready the morning of. This just seems like the way to go for me since I am having both the ceremony and reception in the cottage. He also said that if anyone sees any flowers looking 'sad' throughout the night, he replaces them right away with fresh ones (again, the shop is right across the parking lot!). hope this helps!

Thanks almostmrsD! That makes me feel a little bit better. Scott also told us that we can get order our own vases if we want to save a little bit of money. He seemed pretty flexible and understanding.

I'll report back next week on how our sample looks!

I did my tasting in Feb and my wedding is May so about 3 months out... Email Jen or David and ask about the tasting because you can really do it whenever, but u don't pick your menu until like 2-3 months before... They suggest waiting until then because you'll forget what u liked and didn't like. But I did the tasting in feb then right after went downstairs with Jen and she submitted all of my menu options into the computer that day. Then I was able to order menus and whatever.

PS: don't feel bad about emailing them because their job is to answer whatever questions we have! They will not contact u every step of the way, they will prob contact u like 2 months out if u don't contact them though... so you will have to contact them if u want to get the ball rolling sooner than that.

Let me know if you have any other questions:)
