Can anyone give me the cons of having a reception at the Milleridge Cottage? Any bad experiences there? I saw yesterday that a couple people used to work there...anything bad I should know about?

Did you try the Review board to see what has been posted about the millerage.

I have tried that and I haven't found too much. Although I think I saw something about a drunk and missing bridal attendant! That's a definite con.

I've been to a wedding there (and at the Carriage House). In both cases I enjoyed everything very much- I thought the food was good and the atmosphere was nice- I like the historical aspect of both places.

You went to a shower at the Cottage? It holds 150 people at absolute minimum

I did.
I have absolutely NO complaints. Everyone has been raving about the food since the wedding and the service was incredible.
I'll be writing up a review once I get my proofs but I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
ETA: Here's a link to the milleridge thread - there are a bunch of review links and info links in the first post.

The day I went for my tasting they had a shower for someone named Mary in the CH atrium. Kristy said that the only way they do that is on very short notice and only when the other smaller rooms are booked, but the cottage is open. My mom and I were both very surprised to see a shower there -- the room was gorgeous!
We actually were able to taste the chicken francaise they served at the shower and I'd agree that it was so-so. That said, all of the other food we tasted during our tasting was spectacular!
