for those brides that have been married there or for anyone who has attended there, how was the transition from ceremony to CH (if they both took place there) since the same room is used?
Thanks

Re: milleridge cottage cocktail hour
when i was there, a big curtain was draped b/w the 2 rooms, so when you walked into the other room from ch, it kind of seemed that way, not like one big room. i've been to 2 weddings there and both were great.

Re: milleridge cottage cocktail hour
i am getting married there and the CH and ceremony are in the same room. I was told that everyone is put in the entry (lounge) room while they set up the CH and that it only takes a few minuted before they open back up. I am just worried that this will be a problem. Or that it takes longer than was mentioned. I hope not.

Never mind--I thought you said from the cocktail hour to the reception so Im changing my post. I havent been to a wedding where the ceremony was also there, but I just went to a wedding at the milleridge 2 weeks ago and everything was fantastic. The food was great and there was such a nice cocktail hour and dessert spread.

Re: milleridge cottage cocktail hour
I went to a wedding there recently and they did a very smooth transition. All the guests went out to the outer lobby and while this happened, the staff really worked quickly and in a few minutes, had the ceremony room set up. Honestly, it was quick and flawless. They had all the bars and tables set up in the reception room so when the guest walked out, all they had to do was roll or drag everything in. Once guests were ready to eat they wandered into the other room and took seats and used the food buffet and bars there.
I don't think you have to worry about anything, they did a great job.

Thanks My BM told me the transition would only take a few minutes, and as much as I wanted to believe this since I love the place, I still had my doubts!!

Hello fellow Milleridge bride!
I had the Carriage House, not the Cottage so I'm not sure about the ceremony/CH thing. But I thought this thread might help you:
