Has anyone ever been there? Could anyone give approx prices. I just emailed them (I think for the 2nd or 3rd time) asking for a general price. FH won't look anywhere else, unless its WORTH it. so any feed back would be appreciated.

Re: Milleridge Cottage
April is $65 pp and (which highly annoys me) they charge $25.95 for children - all ages for like a 2 year old is that price - all other places children under like 5 are free - that just botheres me. HTH

That's so funny that you don't like that they don't do valet -- that's one of the things that sold me on it!
I love it there.

I thought it was a bit outdated as well, but I used to work there and the food is amazing..
For a sunday in July of 2010 I believe the quote I received was for 75 pp ++
However, they don't do tastings, which slightly annoyed me even though I've eaten their food a thousand times..

Yea to me your guests should NOT have to park their own cars and have to go out at night and walk to their cars - just not my thing - guests are coming to celebrate your day - there should be valet in my opinion. But im glad you love your venue...

Re: Milleridge Cottage
Thanks! I sent some of this info to FH, hopefully he'll agree to check them out. Not having a Valet isn't that bad, I personally HATE valets. at his brothers wedding, they broke some electronics on my MONTH old truck, well my truck is used, but my brother worked for the dealership (in service) and basically knows the ins and outs of it and it NEVER had that problem. With me being short I adjusted the mirrors and seat so the taller valet driver could park it... well when I get it back the buttons on my door were broken, they pushed on them so much that the bar caved into the door. Now I had to drive from pine hollow country club to my house, in bay shore in a truck that was still new to me with NO mirrors, I couldn't put the window down I couldn't move the seat because they broke THAT button too! and when I spoke with a manager, they told me they aren't responsible for internal damage. Oh and just recently we had to valet to VIEW a hall and there was a nice dent in FH's car door... so yea, I trust our families to park their own cars rather then have a bunch of 16yr old boys who will play 'nhra driver' with our cars.

Re: Milleridge Cottage
OK another question- I had emailed them before (fill-out on their website) and never heard back, today... well this morning around 11, so over 4 hours ago I emailed them directly, and then around 1 I filled out that thing on their website, I haven't heard back yet. Now I know most people are going to say 'be patient' but like I said, I also emailed them over a month ago asking for GENERAL/APPROX prices and dates and I never heard back. I teach dancing at night and work during the day, so finding time to call is hard, I'm usually not able to sit down and call someone until 11 at night, I mean I can call while driving (on speaker phone) but I can't talk, drive AND write things at the same time... that's just looking to get into an accident!...
so, if you've contacted them via email... how long did they take to return your message?

oh, that's not our date, when I created my site I needed to supply a date, so I just picked 10/10/10. lol I'm going to try calling now, I have about 5 minutes before I have to leave my house, I got home faster then expected.

Re: Milleridge Cottage
We were quoted $120 for a sat night in october, doing a friday night in November for $75. I love it there... we are getting a tasting though. They are bad with answering emails, I would call, I got them down on price when I went in. If you need valet we hired one for the night, its only $300 ( its the company milleridge uses the most) while it didn't make a difference to me if we had one, FH wanted it.

Re: Milleridge Cottage
So... I was just looking up the phone number when my cell phone rings, it was leslie. I asked her prices and she said that october/november START at $107++, I asked what months are cheaper and she said jan-april. I asked for april prices and she said $95++... I told her we were looking to spend $75/pp and she said she can't go down that far.
so now I'm upset. I hate getting excited that a hall is beautiful AND AFFORDABLE and then they hit us with a higher STARTING price.
and now that I think about it, my parents friends were telling us back around dec/jan that their son had just booked there for november of THIS year and they were only paying $75/pp for the cottage.
::sigh:: well i guess its back to the drawing board.

Was that for a saturday night? Would you do a friday night or sunday morning? That'll bring the price down. I believe we paid $68 pp for a sunday afternoon in september

yes, that was for a saturday night, we're only looking at saturday night. I am in love with majestic gardens, but they were too costly. we got them to our price and everything we wanted... but it was for a sunday. when we told our parents my father basically said that he won't pay for (well help with paying for) or ATTEND our wedding unless it is a saturday night. there's a lot of reasons behind it that i don't want ot get into... but i do kinda agree with him... its ok, we'll just keep looking.

would you do a friday night? FH was totally against fri and then we got the price difference and he jumped on board. If you guys are really set on that place, take a ride over there. We met with Debbie. I had gotten a different quote over the phone and I went in and did much better.... I don't know when you are booking for but you should make the trip, places are really dropping prices all over... I wish we were getting married in 2010 we would have gotten better deals!
