Re: millerige cottage
I thought this place was gorgeous but I was really turned off by the fact that they won't do a food tasting til a month before the wedding. I asked the lady, 'Well what happens if at that point, you don't like the food?' She looked so taken aback and said, 'Um, that's never happened before.' I guess she didn't like that I asked but that annoys me. I wanna be able to taste your food before I book your place! Sheesh!

This was the first place I looked at and they dont budge on things. I liked the place but, not the people I dealt with so much.

Re: millerige cottage
I got married in the cottage. I loved every second of it! I did not require a tasting b/c I had already been there for a wedding and knew the food was outstanding. Not one thing went wrong at the Cottage on the day of my wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect and that's definitely not normal for me (i have the worst luck!!).
I'm sorry, I don't have any pics on line!!

Re: millerige cottage
I got married there and had absolutely no problems. The service was excellent. My BM was Kristy and she was so helpful. At the time DH and I were planning the wedding, DH was in the Army and there was a possibility of him going to Iraq. They were able to put into our contract that if he was sent overseas, we would be able to move the wedding to a different day, which was in fact the case. They were really great when we had to change the date.
As for the tasting, I had no problem that it was only a month before the wedding. I had the same question too about what if I didn't like something. If there was something that I didn't like they would work with me on it, When DH and I went for our tastings, we took our parents with us. My MIL & FIL are hard to impress when it comes to food, but they loved everything.
The day of the wedding, there was such an aboundance of food, it was incredible. No one and I mean no one went hungry the day of my wedding. To this day, I still get so many compliments on the food and just everything about the wedding.
Our wedding was DH's family's first 'American' wedding. DH is from Russia and they didn't know what to expect. His family was so impressed of all the planning, the food, just everything. In one word they could describe the wedding was classy.
I don't have any pics up yet from the wedding. I want to put the photos that my photographer took. I'll let you know when they are up.
