Re: mind helping an 08'er??
I think the criss cross is interesting ....
But my answer is ... whichever way YOU feel more COMFORTABLE

I love how it looks both ways!
But I think one advantage to the criss cross is that it might be more comfortable because the straps won't fall down off your shoulders at all, while you're dancing and moving around all day.

Good point about the straps falling down- but I think I like the way straight looks better.

thanks so much girls i didnt even think about the straps falling down.. but they actually can be move able.. so if i wanted them straight for the church and then to dance make the X i could do that.. but i think im leaning toward the straight.. think its a little more formal
this is a picture of the front.. its pretty high up so i dont think the straps would have the opertunity to fall down

i think since the back is a little plainer than the front (which i adore!) that the criss-cross adds a bit of interest. Honestly, it looks good both ways, no wonder you are torn!

definitely straight.. the front of your dress is nice and i think the criss cross makes it less formal and doesnt flow with the front..

Your dress is beautiful!! But I agree that the criss-cross looks less formal. Maybe you could wear them straight for the ceremony and criss cross them for the reception if you having a problem w/ them falling down. Esp. if you'll be dancing.

I agree with this. I would have said straight were the front not so ornamental but its BEAUTIFUL and I feel JMO, the straight straps detract from that a bit.
BTW love the hairpiece you were wearing in the first pic.

I am torn also. I like them both ways but agree that the criss cross can be a little less formal but like how it looks better. Maybe straight for the wedding and criss cross for the reception if they are falling down.

I personally like them straight! but now i look at the front of the dress and i think the criss cross might be better ~ I would go with whatever you feel comfortable in!

Your photos are interesting. It looks like you had it straight and then your mom 'fixed it' for you. My mom is always doing that
I actually like the straight better because I think it looks more elegant, but you should do whatever you love.
