Mind if I asked you a wedding related question??

If you wanted to meet with a vendor but they only had office hours from 9-5 M-F
and then did 'house calls' after that

Would you go for a house call or try to make it to their office?
( Manhattan Based office)

TIA!

Personally, since I work in Manhattan I would try to make the 9-5 hours work. If that wasn't possible I would do the house call.

I'd try to make it to their office.

i'd try to make it to their office - but since i'm on li, if i couldn't get a day off from work, i'd probably find a vendor closer to me

Well, I work on the island so I would have to take off from work to go during office hours...I probably wouldn't want to take a day off to go visit a vendor. BUT I like having the option of going to the home. It makes it seem like the vendor is very flexible and accomodating and I like that.

i work in nyc so i'd head to their office. the house call thing seems weird to me. then again, i won't even deal with vendors who don't have a website with detailed info and email. hmm, maybe i'm the weird one!

i work and live on LI so couldn't do the office visit. i wouldn't be comfortable having a vendor come to my house. i would pick someone closer to home

If I worked in Manhattan, I'd try to take an extended lunch and try to make an appointment then. If not, I guess I would do the 'House Call' thing if I was really interested in them.

House call thing seems weird to me. Most vendors will accommodate your schedule, at least in my experience.

I had someone come to my house once and they wouldn't leave until I signed a contract! It was a photo, video person located in New Jersey...My Dad actually had to escort him out!!!!!!! It was horrible!!! Go to them!!!

If there were no 'obligations' via the housecall, I'd go with the housecall.

9-5 in NYC (even though I work in NYC) is a bit tough. Not enough time during your lunch hour to run to wherever the locale is and make it back in time!

ditto. Manhattan is just too far. If I was hard set on having them as a vendor, there is no way I could get there during their office hours since I work/live in Suffolk.

I would have to say a house call-- they know we are planning a wedding and need to work 9-5 so they should accommodate us.
