Mini Calla Bo-K

I am. How many stems you should use depends on the color – kind of. White minis tend to be REALLY mini. You need a MINIMUM of 30 for any decent size bridal bouquet although you can get away with less for BMs. Certain varieties of yellows/reds/lavenders are larger than others – so if your florist is using a good sized variety you can get away with a fat bouquet for 30 stems.

The other thing bouquet size should depend on is your size and dress. If you are skinny and wearing a sleek dress you def don’t need a 50 stem bouquet – it might overpower you. But if you are large or if you are small but wearing a big ball gown, you may want to consider a larger bouquet because a 15-20 stem mini calla bouquet might get lost and look tiny amongst your grandeur or the grandeur of your dress.

I requested my bouquet be between 30-50 stems. I am going with red and burgundy colors – so my florist (John from FM) said he will mix the larger variety reds with the smaller. I told him that when it comes down to it im not gonna be sitting counting the stems of my bouquet on my wedding day – I just really want it to be big and full. As long as you tell your florist exactly what you expect out of your bouquet – they should know the right amount of stems to use based on how the product comes in or the standard of the variety they are using.
