Mini check and question

Mini check and question

Today I bought boxes at Party City to use for my cardbox. I looked all over Michael's and couldnt find anything...so I figured I'd travel 2 stores down and try party city.

I ended up buying a few different sizes gift boxes (about 6 or 7). All together they were only $10, so even if I dont end up liking the size, its not a big deal and I can always use them to wrap gifts in.

Anyway, girls who are making their own cardboxes- I should buy fabric to wrap the boxes with correct? And then just wrap them like a present? What should I use to glue it down or hold it together?

I am going to use fabric for mine... no chances of it ripping in transit. I would say a glue gun or maybe some kind of two sided fabric tape they use for emergency hems...

I'm worried about using a hot glue gun. I used it for my favor basket for my eparty and you could def. sleep bumps where the glue gun was used.

I was if there's some other type of strong adhesive I can use?

I havent even thought of the logistics of it to be honest. I'm actually scared of my cardbox right now lol. I might enlist the help of my mom...she's all crafty like that.

Shoot! I plan on making my own card box too - but I want mine to be in the shape of a really big purse, and I was planning on using the left over fabric from my grandma's wedding gown - but I never even thought of how to keep the fabric in place!!!! hmmmmmm - Is there such a thing as fabric glue? I fear the glue gun will definitely be bumpy - but if you secure the fabric on the inside, no one should see, right?! This is a head scratcher!!!!

Go to JoAnnn fabrics get a combination of double sides fabric tape and fabric glue. The tape will keep it in place and the glue will make sure it stay together. It is better than a glue gun because sometime depending on how thick your fabric is the glue of a glue gun can spot of make markes through the fabric that looks like stains. HTH
