Mini FMIL vent....

So she finally sends FH the list of addresses we have been asking for since... oh, I don't know, June... only to follow it up with an email to me saying 'Oh, so and so won't come' 'This person doesn't have a lot of money so don't send them an invitation' 'I dont think you should bother inviting this couple because they have children and won't travel.'

Thanks but I didn't ask for the commentary... It's a list of about 15 couples, FH has a small family... she wants us to eliminate about half. All I keep saying is that we still want to invite them and if they can't make it that is fine. We still want to extend an invitation.

Then I get the 'Oh, ok, well, you'll see...no one is going to want to come to New York.'

GREAT I guess we will see and then I'll invite people I actually give a crap about instead.

All you can do is ignore. You know who ur dealing with, so don't let it bother u. Next time just say: 'thanks, I appreciate ur kind words and support'

I had a VERY similar situation to deal with a couple of months ago - totally can emphatize with this one!!! Just ignore her. Life is much easier that way.

don't worry.. send them anyway.. its called being polite.

Mine always does that!!
She SWORE up and down when we set our minimum with the hall that she had all these people, yet all of a sudden, 'Well they pissed me off', or so and so won't come if the kids are not invited...blah blah..
