Mini getaway for FH - so happy.

My FH has been so stressed and busy laltely- new teaching job, a summer job, starting a masters program in September, etc., and there's only a window of a few days between summer job and new teacher orientation at his REAL job...

I wanted a mini-getaway, but not too expensive, and not Montauk or something, 'cause my silly FH can't just lay on a beach all day - I swear, he gets temporary A.D.D.

So I just booked a King Deluxe room the Tropicana in Atlantic City for next week. We've both never been there, and there's some poker tournament that weekend that we can watch (his latest obsession)....should be a good time!

I'm just looking forward to being alone with him for a couple days. It rarely happens during the summer- there's always so many commitments!

I'm excited

eta: it's a total surprise for him. He has no clue where we're going! haha... last night, I gave him a 'pack list' with some weird things to throw him off (bathing suits, baseball jersey, etc.) It's KILLING him that I have a secret!

To be honest with you, I don't think we'll be gambling much!

FH likes to watch people play poker.... I want to walk the boardwalk, maybe go to the beach a little bit....

That's why I chose the tropicana- there's SO much going on there, they just built a new section, and it's the biggest hotel in NJ.
