MINI-MOON...

We won't be able to take our HM 'til Feb/2012 but we wanted to have a minimoon, I've heard good things about Mohonk Mountain House, it's supposed to be in upstate, have u guys heard about this place?

if its the place i am thinking of i hear its more family friendly (my aunt suggested we got there for our family trip last year....we are a group of 28 with kids from age 2 to 14 plus adults).

Try Woolverton Inn... I went there last year for our 1 year anniversary together! It was so beautiful, we had our own cottage. Food is delicious, the grounds and the nearby town of New Hope, Pa is so cute! check it out...no tv's in the room, so romantic!! We are going back again in the summer!!

I would also look into Newport, RI. It's beautiful!!!

my sister and friends have gone there. they said it's beautiful. check out their website! i'm trying to go there next month to go hiking

It's BEAUTIFUL! It is very kid friendly, but they have a beautiful pond with trails all around it. I wouldn't go there expecting to lounge around...It's a place to go if you like hiking, boating etc.
