Mini-Moon ideas ??

Hi girls,

I set my wedding date for Sept 09 prior to me getting a job in a school district as a Social Worker. Being that we get off so much time, I really cannot take off for my honeymoon so I am planning a mini-moon. I think that I will be able to get three days...Since my wedding is on a Fri I am planning to take Thurs, Fri, and Mon off from work. I would like to take a weekend trip but am unsure where to go. I dont want to travel somewhere since we only have a short time so it would have to be on LI. Any ideas or past brides who have done this?? I was thinking maybe out east somewhere....

PS I WILL be taking a HM during a recess though !!!!

Fire Island or what about Long Beach ISland in NJ? Also Block Island in Rhode Island is beautiful. Montauk Pointe. Goodluck!

You could always do something in the city maybe. A nice stay in a gorgeous hotel. Reserve some spots at some nice restuarants and see some shows. I think that could be real nice!

why don't you just wait until you can go away? That is what I was going to maybe do if I couldn't get a date around a holiday vacation from work.

we are doing the same thing. we are going to stay out east, maybe go to some wineries for the weekend. we are going on our honeymoon in January because that is when we both get more vacation days.
