Does anyone have any recommendations for a weekend getaway in November? We won't be going on our big honeymoon until summer 2012, but the weekend after our wedding is Veterans Day, so we're looking to do something Thursday-Sunday. I'm stumped where to look though. I love the Mohonk Mountain House but its SO expensive. Any ideas? TIA!

Check out Stone Hill Inn-- super accomodating!!! joey had been talking to them for months leading up to the engagement!!!! Its incredibly romantic there.... i cannot say enough!!! not to mention GORGEOUS!!!!!! I have pix on my FB if you want to see!!

If you like casinos, Maybe Foxwoods MGM Grand... or maybe NYC, the village is beautiful one of our fave spots to hang out in

We're in the same situation....our HM isn't until 06/2012 but for our mini-moon we're thinking somewhere tropical, probably an all inclusive in Mexico or Aruba.

We were in a somewhat similar situation....when we got married in April my husband really couldnt take much time off work and we really wanted to go to Hawaii. Plus we have a six year old daughter and we cant go to Hawaii for two weeks without her. We would miss her too much and she would be FURIOUS - she is a little diva, lol. We put off Hawaii until April of 2012 and decided to take a four day mini-moon just the two of us. We went to Miami and stayed at the W. It was amazing! I highly recommend it! True luxury.

This...there is that all inclusive adults resort called cove haven that have hot tubs and pools in the room.

I am in the same boat and going on a mini moon in November and a bigger honeymoon next year. We are going the the Cove Haven Resorts in the Poconos. We have been there twice before and fell in love with it. It is all inclusive and breakfast, dinner and a variety of onsite activities are included. And yes there are rooms with your own pool and hot tub in them
