Mini Review of Land's End

Well fh and I went to a wedding last night at Land's End and it was a start time of around 6;30. We walked in and it was a amazing setup with a garden and gazebo. The outdoor area as we waited to sit down for the ceremony was great and pretty. They passed fruit and drinks around for the guests which was nice because many guests just drove down and arrive from out of state and they were hungry.

As we sat down for the ceremony they had baskets with a fan program which every took one. But in the end most people tossed it away. So I still stand by my descision for one per couple (with a sign stating it). Ceremony was great. A rev. vincenco (I think his name was) and he was energetic. He cracked jokes and was once a army man. The bride was in a pretty ball gown dress with a simple hair piece and veil. The bridesmaids were in aqua blue dresses from david's bridal.

Cocktail hour was AMAZING. I didn't eat much at all and fh had nothing because people were flocking to it and the line was long IoI They had one outdoor meat carving station and one huge buffet station and the same indoors with diff. food. Two big bars open which was great. We then went into the main room and the place cards were house seating cards but in a lovely scroll stand that everyone seemed to like.

Dinner Service: The salad was great completely enjoyed it. The pasta was a lobster ravioli which i did not know. They only had one menu per table which no one saw since it was small. I am very happy that i have a 4.25 x 14 menu one per person (even if you toss it out I don't care) because if i knew it was seafood I wouldn't of tried to eat it. I bit into it and all most freaked out because i am allergic to seafood. NOT HAPPY!!!! But i only had a small piece so i knew it wouldn't be too much of a issue. Other then that everyone said it was great.

Entree - had filet mignon. It was good and very tasty but overdone even though i asked for med. rare it was more medium well but didn't complain i just ate it. As i stated very tasty along with the potato and veggie they served. Everyone loved the fish that they got at my table.

They had code blue as the band which was just flawless through out the cocktail and dinner. TALENTED band and everyone loved them.

Dessert was a fondant covered cake (yellow cake with canolli filling) the cake itself was tasty.. didn't care for fondant so we are deff. not doing it for our wedding cake and we are not fans of canolli but everyone else loved it. They also had a dessert tray passed around which was nice because if you didn't care for the cake you could have that and they had strawberries dipped in chocolate which everyone loved.

Overall i have to say outside fof a villa lambardi's wedding i have attended it was on the top of my best of. Really great service, good food, good time overall. I really enjoyed it.

Re: Mini Review of Land's End

i loved lands end, that is the one place my parents, me and my fh all loved but once they told us the price pp i had to fake 'full brain syndrome' and get us out of there before daddy had a stroke and before my fh burst out in laughter

we're walking out the door and FH says under his breath in response to the girl who gave us the run down saying she hopes she hears from us soon -don't hold your breath take a good look at us you'll never see us again.

it was rather comical
