Mini review on wedding last night! (now with pics)
It was a great wedding! The reception was held at the Candlewood Inn in CT. Beautiful venue, right on the water (they definitely got some great pictures with the setting sun and all the trees different fall colors!).
CH consisted of a mini hamburger station, cheese station, fried mac and cheese pieces, fried calamari, and jumbo shrimp cocktail. And then they had a few passed horsdevoirs. Everything I had was good - esp. that fried mac and cheese!
Never had to wait long at the bar for a drink - service was def. on point.
The had such a cute, unique idea for a guestbook. The had this gigantic bottle of champagne that everyone signed and they are going to pop it open on their first anniversary.
Dinner was also very good. Started with a tortellini dish, caesar salad, and then I had the Filet Mignon which was cooked perfectly!
Don't know the name of the DJ but they were defnitely keeping the party going all night long. FH and I (esp. FH) was tearing up the dancefloor.
She had a surprise groom's cake for him in the shape of a fish (he's a big fisher). Both cakes were very good too (Wedding Cake - white cake with cannoli filling and a whipped cream icing.... Groom's Cake - red velvet with cream cheese icing).
The bride looked so beautiful, the boys all wore their black new balance sneakers, and I loved the BM dresses (esp. the color).
The did the BP entrance in a different way than I ever seen. After they announced the parents, they had all the girls announced in together and then all the boys, and then they came in last.
Afterwards, before leaving, they had a coffee to go station set up with individual cookies wrap to go. Their favors were Chocolate and Caramel covered Granny Smith apples.
The after party was held at the hotel we were all staying at and they ordered Domino's pizza to be delievered so that was pretty sweet.
The hotel in general, The Ethan Allen Inn, was a very nice hotel. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were nice and big and the rate was awesome ($109 per night).
That's all I can think of... I will upload pics soon!
EDIT: and as a side note, this was the last wedding FH and I have until our wedding... I can't believe we're next!![]()
