mini vent.

mini vent.

One of my friends actually texted me moments after recieving her engagement party invite that I spent DAYS perfecting... and her question is .... 'Is ****** invited? I love you two but I don't want any negative engery, or a scene at your party. But if you really want me to come I will just keep my distance and try to enjoy myself.' ...

Is it tacky if I just text her back 'ignore the invite I canged my mind'

My actual response was 'I invited you because I would like to have you there, it's up to you to decide what you're comfortable with'

People NEVER stop amazing me, I also can't believe that over 10 years out of high school and people are STILL acting like catty 10th graders.

SOrry that wasn't as mini as I thought it would be.

Ugh..that would annoy me too!! Some people think the world revolve around them. Your e-party has nothing to do with her, it's about you and your FH....

I'm going to have similar issues with some friends I'm inviting to my wedding... I'm dreading the day I have to start working on seating arrangements!

Don't let it bother you ... just focus on your wedding planning and enjoy this time and what it really means

I personally think she asked in the most respectable way possible. I know for a FACT there are some places I will NOT go if a certain person is there because one of us will end up in tears or jail lol.

I think the way she phrased it is kind and considerate - as much as it sucks - its better if they dont fight at your party.

eta: she better send a killer gift if she doesnt show up lol!

Lindsay I see what you mean and she did put it in the nicest way possible. I just feel like she didn't need to point out that she doesn't like my firend for the 100th time this week. I would preffer she just say 'I'm sorry I can't make it.'

Maybe I'm a little over sensative because there's a whole lot of the the who can be nice to who and who has to be left out that I never expected to have.

ETA : I did register for a pretty sweet bar set that I think might make up for it

haha Id make a joke of it and say ok come to the party or I want this and then laugh it out. Sometimes women clash - it sucks - but I seriously mean it when I say there is 1 woman in the whole world - who I cant even be in the same room with lol.

That would bother me even though she asked nicely. Instead of being concerned with who is going she should be there to celebrate with you. Would she ask the same question when she gets the wedding invitation?
