Our wedding is on a friday night in November and we are staying in riverhead that night but want to leave to go somewhere the next morning and return sunday night because of work on monday. Anyone have ideas that are only a few hours away that can be a nice little getaway within killing the bank account?
I dont really wanna go to AC or Foxwoods tho something different.

why not stay at a bed and breakfast in the hamptons somewhere then go wine tasting?

You could take the ferry over to Newport or somewhere in CT - Mystic or go to Mohegan

Try Poconos Resorts or Niagra Falls ( you could fly up there to get there quicker).

Mystic CT is really nice, especially in the fall! You can stay in a B & B or hotel , there is an aquarium and the marina and all kinds of cute little shops etc. Or maybe Boston?

i would say montalk, the wineries or take a ferry to CT or go to newport RI.

I think I posted in BHB - but definately check out Montreal. Sooo romantic there and the whole feel of the city is just amazing. We loved it there. We also went in the dead winter and still had an amaazzing time.
