My fiance and I are going to do a minimoon and take a longer trip at a later date. We would really love a romantic beach location on the east coast. I'm stressing out about this right now. Any recommendations??

I know it isn't far....but what about a week on the east end of LI in the Hamptons/beaches/villages...and the North fork/vineyards/farms? I hope it doesn't sound too lame...but there's so much to see/do right here...Montauk, too! Just a thought.

Rockport MA!! That's where I am getting married. Beautiful town with dozens of bed and breakfast. Close to Salem and Boston. Gloucester is a 5 min drive with whale watching.
Love it there!

Thank you ladies. I have been checking out all of your suggestions on trip advisor to see where is the best place for us. It's just trying to figure out which place has the most to do. I've never been to most of these places. I've also been looking at Virginia beach & maybe south Carolina. Does this sound corny?

Charleston SC is one of my favorite cities, so many amazing restaurants, shopping, and the beaches are amazing!!

My brother just moved back to NY from VA Beach. It was nice, but I think Newport, Cape May and Cape Cod are nicer.

If you are looking at South Carolina, try this place - The Litchfield Resort near Myrtle Beach - away from all the crowds and they have a beautiful beach. They offer hotel rooms and condos. You can have breakfast and lunch in the villa and go out to dinner. Restaurants nearby and of course you can always go into Myrtle Beach for shows and restaurants.
