NO! Don't use tampons!! While you miscarry you are at a higher risk for infection, and tampons increase that risk, so avoid them, avoid them, avoid them!!

I have heard differing stories on TTC after miscarriage... some doctors say wait one full cycle, and some say wait 3 months. Do some research online and talk to your Dr. again. I think it also depends on how far along you were when you miscarried because the further along you are, the more time it takes for your body to heal and get back to normal.

Shana - I replied in your other post but my dr said to wait just 1 cycle becuase then you can have a date to go by. Just FYI - You CAN get pregnant again BEFORE you get a period. DH and I decided to wait 2 cycles just to readjust my body and make sure everything was 'clean'.

I answered this in your other post but I MC'd on March 6th. AF came back on April 10th. I conceived this baby on April 24th. Im due in less than 4 weeks. When I asked my doc about why some people have to wait to so long, or is suggested that they wait, he told me to make sure they are mentally prepared for the whole experience and physically so they can get an accurate due date. After you go through 1 cycle he said your body is ready to get pregnant again.

I would not use tamons..my Dr said NO WAY...and he stated to wait a full 8 weeks after your next normal period to TTC again..The natural response( trust me) to to try again RIGHT away...the best thing for your body though is to wait as long as you can and feel comfortable with , to get all your hormones back to normal and have a better chance to carry to term the 2nd time around.
I have seen two friends at work lose again when they waited less then 2-3 months before TTC again...

I know how hard it is to wait though, so I wish you luck and talk to your dr..ask LOTS of questions..thats what they get paid for!

My dr told me tampons were a BIG NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was the only thing he stressed- NO TAMPONS!

As for trying only you will know when you are emotionally ready. I wasn't ready until about 2 months before we did.
