Miss v. Ms. ???

Any input as to which is used when? Is it determined by age?

Thanks girls!

Re: Miss v. Ms. ???

I am not sure about actual age, but from what I recall, I think Miss is for a young girl (12 and under or something) and Ms. is more of a single woman.

I know that young boys are called Master when they under a certain age (8 or 12, I can't remember) so I would figure the same for girls and women

I agree Miss sounds like a girl and Ms. is a woman.

I think Miss is for under 21 and unmarried and Ms is for women over 21.

The rule is boys under the age of 13 are Master and girls under the age of 18 are Miss.

It also says for single women either Ms or Miss is appropriate after 18

I thought the rule was use Miss is they were under 16 and anyone older use Ms. Personnally, I prefer Ms.

I don't know if this is correct, but I used Miss if the person was still in high school and Ms. if the person was out of high school.
