Mixed Marriages

I'm a Mets fan... FH is a super obnoxious Yankee fan.. It makes for a very long spring/summer. He makes me watch Yankee games. What's a girl to do?

I'm on the same boat as you, but my FH isn't a super obnoxious Yankee fan, and since he is a major baseball fan in general, he'll watch Mets games with me!

I am in the same exact boat. We are both hardcore fans. It already started this week. Summers are brutal. We are going to be on our honeymoon when the Mets and Yanks play. I don''t know what we are going to do! lol

i'm a yankees fan, DH is a mets fan. thing is, we each do root for the other team, as long as their not playing each other. i don't hate the mets, he doesn't hate the yankess (like many mets fans do), but when they play each other, we have a lot of fun with it!

I am a yankees fan, and he is not a fan of any sports teams at all.

I end up watching games alone and i go to the games with my father, not my FH

I am in the same situation. Putting my FH and my dad in the same room during a game (especially if the Yanks are losing) is torture. They are brutal to each other.

Our compromise -- our children will be yankee fans except when they are at Grandpa's house -- then they are Mets Fans.

same here!! although he really doesn't like the yankees but he deals with it hehe....the first year we were dating was the year of the Subway Series!!!

ETA: A mixed marriage like this is no good for the relationship. There are papers allowing you to move over to the other side.

& you are lucky Yankees RULE. sorry. from the Bronx originally it is ingrained in us!!
