So FH and I were talking last night and we wanted to maybe use a Michael Jackson song in our montage. Growing up, FH LOVED MJ and I think it would be cute- our wedding is in August...do you think it will be too sad or media oriented?
I wanted to do for FH's photos growing up- 'Today I met the boy I'm going to marry'
and for my song growing up we were thinking 'The way you make me feel' by MJ
or is it too soon and we should just play the song at the reception?

Its entirely up to you. He had great music. But do keep in mind, a lot of people have mixed feelings on him (in the later years of his life) ya know what I mean?

I am a huge MJ fan and planned on playing a few of his songs during the reception before his passing. Now that he has passed I'm thinking of seeing if the dj can do a mix of them instead.

I do NOT think it is too soon. I think it's a great idea. Hopefully by our wedding date (wedding twin) the media will have calmed down. I would use MJ music!

do it! I have always been a huge fan and my request list for the reception already had a dozen MJ songs on it before he passed. I'm still playing them!

I don't think it is too soon, I think it is an awesome idea. I wanted MJ songs played during the reception before his death, I am not going to change anything.

My advice would be to use it if you would have used it prior to his death...I feel like everyone is on this band wagon for him when they could care less when he was alive...I am just kind of overloaded with the amount of media coverage at this point...LOL

That's exactly why I didn't want to do it... In all honesty- we weren't planning on using the song but just happend to hear the song yesterday and we thought it was perfect...we had no other song in mind.
FH grew up in Europe till he was 7 and MJ represented the American Dream to him- he loves him!
