I am thinking of getting these for my friends shower. There will be about 45 people. How many lbs of M&M's do you think I would need?

I would buy 7 lbs (to be safe).
Think about the 1lb bag that you purchase from the grocery store- I just got out my organza bag and guesstimated that a normal bag would fill up approx. 8.
