MOB and MIL dress colors??

Just wanted to see what other people are doing, but my mom got her dress already and it's and a beautiful irredescent taffeta in a bronzy brown color. And my MIL finally decided to start looking at dresses, which she has plenty of time. And I haven't gone with her and my FSIL but would like to cause now she says she fell in love with a dress that is satin in a dark espresso brown.

It could be worse, my nightmare was for her to pick a dress in purple which is her favorite color. That would be bad. They probably won't look the same. But is anyone else in this situation? Any advice?

My FMIL wanted a swatch from my mom's dress so she can match...and then one of the BM's dress...i told her...anything light blue or similar is fine...pick any color you want...after i finally get them she decides to go lavendar...but here's the best....the dress she picked is all WHITE...she is having the skirt dyed purple and FH's aunt is painting details on the jacket or something...i could care less if it's flourescent pink as long as it's not white!!...i do love FMIL but this has just been one of those arrrggg things. I would wait and see what she picks...then see if you can find a complimentary color...your mom's dress is GORGEOUS! good luck!

Re: MOB and MIL dress colors??

thanks girls....my BM dresses are Bill Levkoff 966 in champagne with a dark brown sash. so I knew my mom's dress complimented their dresses but was a different color brown & different fabric. but I'll have to make sure I go with them when she makes her decision.

she's not involved in any of our planning. so I just want to make sure this aspect isn't screwed up, you know? I think I might be okay with similiar colors as long as they are noticeably different.

we'll see!!
