So my mom asked me today which I would prefer her to wear to the wedding and I'm not quite sure what to tell her. First off, I'm not the type of person to say 'you can wear this' or 'you can't wear that' so I told her whatever she feels most comfortable in. She has had a very difficult time finding something and finally found 2 dresses. Here is the 'problem' though. The one dress is black and the other dress is basically the same color as the bridesmaid's dresses. I asked if either came in another color and the one the color of the BM dress comes in white, lol, so that didn't help much. If you had to choose, which one would you tell your mom to wear? The black one or the one the color of the BM dress?

I would choose black, just b/c I would be afraid that the other would be close but not the same as the BM dresses and might clash. Although, something good to think about that someone told my mom, if MOB doesn't have any daughters in the BP, she probably won't be in any pics with them so it doesn't matter as much in pics if they don't go together perfectly!

It really doesn't matter if your mom's dress is the same color as the bridesmaids' dresses since it'll probably be a different style.

That is actually a good point that I didnt really think about...although it doesnt apply to me anyway since my sister is my MOH, but def a good point!!! Thanks!

If you really dont mind either then I would tell her to get whatever she is most comfortable in. OR the one she could maybe wear again?
