I need help finding my mom a dress. Where can I find pretty dresses for under $500? I'm looking In LI or Brooklyn.

My mom and I found a really elegant, modern, and classy dress from Macy's. If you don't mind it, I'd go into the city and go to the Macy's at Herald Square. Their dress department is the largest I've ever seen.

Definitely try Totally You in Bellmore. The women were super nice and helpful there. They had a rack of dresses that were around and under $200 and in the back they have tons of dresses at different prices. They will honor your budget and not make you feel bad about it like some of these other places. Their alteration prices are very reasonable too.
