MOB DRESS

We have started the MOB dress search and it is not going to well. Can you please post your MOB dresses and where you bought them. Also, my mom can't afford to spend a lot of money, what is the typical range. thanks!!

Re: MOB DRESS

my mom got her dress somewhere in great neck...can't think of the name its right across the street from lenards. it was a half off sale so she spent $400, but the dress was normally $800! my mom is just crazy so you can def find a gorgeous dress for alot cheaper!

Re: MOB DRESS

Macy's Herald Square has a ton of dresses on the 4th floor. You should check out the both the junior and the woman sections. tons of great options. don't forget your macy's coupons.

Re: MOB DRESS

My mom's was pricey (almost $800) but that's because it's a Nicole Miller dress. It could honestly be a dress for ANY black tie/formal occasion which is what she wanted; she didn't like the MOB 'look' of a lot of other dresses.

I would say try Macy's bridal salon (as mentioned above), as well as Bridal Suite of Centereach (GREAT selection and prices -- where we got our BM dresses), Lord and Taylor (they're known for their dress department), Bridal Suite of Huntington, Adrienne's in Islip, Bridal Elegance in Dix Hills

Re: MOB DRESS

I spent only $89.99 on mine; Got it at the Bon Ton, at our local mall, but I also saw it at Penneys at King of Prussia. Lord and Taylor, at King of Prussia, Pa., also had gotten some new dresses in, recently, that are probably reasonably priced. I had taken one back there, because it was not the right color for me, and I only paid about $169 for that one!! Mary MOB

My mom got her dress at RK BRIDAL and she paid like 200 for it I think (she wanted to spend less but fell in love with her dress).. they have cheaper dresses their too .. you should tell the sales lady your price point and they dont show you dresses above it..

Re: MOB DRESS

thanks girls, we already tried Macys and Lord and Taylor and didn't find the one yet. They had a lot of really pretty dresses but none of them had that wow MOB factor my mom is looking for. I guess the search will continue. Maybe we will check out RK next.

Re: MOB DRESS

Took me an hour (well, only because I was looking at pics on my camera) but here it is!

That's my mom in her dress the day she tried it on (it's a little big on her). We got it at My Daughter's Wedding II in Great Neck and it was $158. No one in the store had any idea where it came from or how the price tag got on it, but that's what it was marked and that's what we paid! (I was quite pleased since so much of what they showed us was over $500... and my 'hoped' budget was $200 lol!!!)

This was my mom's except hers was black and looked so much prettier. It was $900 and from Bayshore Bridal Suite

This was my MIL...believe it or not she got it from the MOB/MOG section in Pzaz and her dress was around $350

Real life pics from the wedding are in my album.
