SO WITH 13 DAYS TO GO MY MOM DOESNT HAVE A DRESS BUT THATS BESIDES THE POINT
SHE PICKED OUT A MAROONISH COLOR DRESS AND I TOLD HER fsmil IS WEARING THAT COLOR!!
ANY WHO DOES ANYONE HAVE THIS SITUATION WHERE 2 MOMS ARE WEARING SIMILAR COLORS?
********she got a dress but it is beige dont know how i feel about that but at this point at least she got a dress

'Traditionally' the MOB is suppose to have first pick for a color....but I don't think a lot of people do that. Honestly, it doesn't matter if they wear the same color, their not in any pictures together.

i don't have that situation but i don't think it matters at all if the mothers match .... nobody will notice anyhow because everyone will be looking at you

At my sister wedding this past october my mom and my sisters MIL wore the same color.

Well I was just told by FH yesterday that his mother bought her dress.. which is green AND purple.... um, she was supposed to wear one color while my mother wore the opposite, and they were supposed to go together and discuss this.... so now my mother is upset and my 'theme' is ruined.
FMIL TRIED talking me into letting her wear the same color as my BMs a few weeks ago.
I guess tonight she'll show me the dress she bought, I'm really not too happy about this.

hopefully it's mostly one of the colors with a very small amount of the second .... don't worry - it'll work out in teh end! and ps: i'm sorry your FMIL is being obnoxious about this ....

I have no idea what FSMIL is wearing. She lives in Puerto Rico and I won't even being seeing her until late August.... She did tell me though that 'oh, it's the summer I'll probably wear something light colored'
If that woman shows up in white, ivory, champagne, or any variation of the colors already listed there will be problems!
anway, back to the issue at hand. I don't think it's a big deal at all!

mine wont show me her dress. my mom and i could care less if she even ends up wearing the same dress as my mom.
for my bridal shower they wore almost identical outfits.. and they defffff didnt plan it .
and IF she wears white.. she will look silly and ill laugh. but i doubt she will...
dont sweat the smalll stuff.

my mother wore beige/ivory to my brothers wedding... my SIL helped pick out the dress.. and trust me, it wasn't a big deal, no one noticed... as long as its not the same exact color of your dress you will always be the focus.
be happy she found a dress that she likes and looks good in.
