MOB dress DONE!!

We went out and got moms dress today. it was such a nice day. ever since the brain hemmoraghe i think this was the one day i have seen her smile in a long time. Peg tub was removed couple weeks ago so she was ready for this adventure. And an adventure it was. My mom is 45 years old.. now i looked at some of the MOB dresses with jackets wasnt a big fan. So we went to esteslles on 110 and found her dress. It is black and white... i know some are prolly thinking this is tacky but my moms happiness and comfort is all that matters.. im not gonna be bridezilla. it is an aline cut and looks beautiful on her. Do you think people willl have an issue with this. i will see if i can post a pic, i didnt have the camera today.. is it bad luck to wear black.. i know its not a typical color to see mob in. but my wedding has been far from typical. FMIL IS WEARING BRIGHT RED and TIGHT!!! Well whats done is done i suppose. thanks for letting me vent.

i don't think that's tacky at all - the most important thing is for you to look back at your pictures and see that your mom looked beautiful and was happy and comfortable on your wedding day, so really the heck with anyone who thinks it's tacky. that's so great that she found something!

I'm wearing black over nude, lots of moms have posted they are wearing black! Black is so fine, and it sounds like she picked something beautiful!

Whatever makes your mom comfortable is fine to wear! I don't think black is bad luck, my BM's are wearing black It sounds like your mom is happy with her choice and that is all that matters!

Black and white isn't tacky in itself. If it's a black and white minidress with ostrich feathers, that would be tacky! But I don't think that's what your mom bought. It's a lovely and classic combination, and will look good with you in white and your FH in black. What's important is that she feels comfortable and attractive on the day, especially if she's been sufferering from health problems. And even if some people have issues--who cares? If they mention them they're tacky anyway, right?
