MOB Dress Emergency

My sister's wedding is only three weeks away. My mom had ordered her MOB dress from Bridal Couture, which is now out of business. The dress was shipped yesterday directly by the designer. Unfortunately, it looks terrible.

I've e-mailed the designer and am waiting for a reply. In the meantime, we're trying to come up with Plan B. Does anyone have any suggestions for where to go to get a MOB dress quickly?

Is your mom a regular missy size? What color is she looking for and what type/style of dress .. beaded, simple, long, short?
If she fits in sample sizes.. sometimes the bridal salons will sell the sample.

I think that Lord & Taylor is a great place for dresses.. the city is the biggest. Ann Taylor also has their dress line in stores.

She generally wears a size 12. She's looking for something long, not overlly structured, but in silver.

Definitely department stores and also, David's. She can always purchase a sample (if she happens to love it).

PZAZ in centereach is great and they do alterations right there in the store. if necessary, My mom got her dress there for my sisters wedding and it was beautiful. They have a lot to chose from and the women there are so nice.

It was at the Milleridge Inn in the Garden Room. I highly recommend Milleridge. The service and food were fantastic!

I would go to Estelles...they have a HUGE selection. not only in their actual bridal dept., but just in general. My mom got her dress there.. good luck! the situation totally stinks but i'm sure it will work out for the better!
