We started the great MOB dress search last night. My mother has already looked in more stores and tried on more dresses than I did lol and it was only one night!
Anyhow my mom is very indecisive (gee wonder where I get it from) so of course I want her to try on alot of dresses so she doesn't second guess. She seemed to really like Jade from Jasmine dresses. Does anyone know other designers that are similiar to that? She is looking for something that stands out but that wont make her look 'too old'

My mom also was going for the 'younger MOB' look. We found GREAT stuff at En Toto in Great Neck. It's a little pricey, but totally worth it. Also worth checking out My Daughter's Wedding (in Great Neck), and Sugarplum (in Lybrook).

My mom found her dress at My Daughter's Wedding. They have a huge selection! Her dress is a Jovani, they have great dresses!

Oh, honey, I'm so sorry, I hadn't seen this!!! Well, I had tried a few on where Donna bought her Wedding gown, in Lititz, Pa, at Classic Weddings, but, I didn't really like them. Now, I'm waiting until at least the end of April, to try on gowns. I'm hoping for an off the rack, oh boy that's the one!!!!! Mary MOB
PS What do you think of that green shade coordinating with Donna's wine color BM's dresses?

Both of our moms are wearing a 'younger' look, they are in great shape, like size 4 great shape, so they look silly in the more traditional styles. this is my mom's dress. the mog dress is from priscilla of boston in rosyln
My mom wants to start looking soon too. I think she is actually going to go into the city and check out the department stores. Mom doesnt like the overkill of beading that alot of MOB dresses have. I heard Lord & Taylor has a great selection in the city

That shade would look perfect with wine BM dresses. I am doing a wine color too and my FMIL is wearing a green shade too. My mom ordered her dress in teal. Good luck with the dresses...can't wait to see what you find!!!!
