My mom and I have been shopping and haven't had a lot of luck. We have been to Estelle's, Bridal Garden in Bethpage, Lillette's in Baldwin, Macy's, Sears, Dina's in Plainview (Don't go there!!!), and haven't really found much. On top of it my mom is a plus size (prob about 14-18 depending on the dress) and I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations of places to look? Any info would be helpful!! TIA!!

sounds like your in Nassau, but we had luck at Helens in Commack. My mom finally found her dress there, they are great there, I got my dress there... also EVA in sayville has some cool yet still MOB dresses there-good luck

My mom and I just went to bridal reflections in Massapequa. They have a really nice selection and everyone there is so incredibly nice. Plus they have a pretty low cap on all alterations done on premises (which is very helpful)

RK Bridal in NYC - they have a very big selection. If you find something you like take the name and # of dress and ordere it somewhere closer to your house.

My mom got her dress at sugar plum in Lynbrook. They have sizes 2 to 28. All their dresses are beautiful!

I have the perfect place, its in the Sunrise Mall in Massapqua i dunno the name of it and they specialize in plus sizes and they are really good with there pricing and alterations, my mom got her dress for 125 and its gourgus if u want more info let me know i will try and dig up the name for you good luck

My grandma is a plus size and she got a GORGEOUS dress for her 50th wedding anniversary - it was more MOB looking, not to grandma-ish. She got it at Flowerama in Ridgewood, i think they have a store in LI too.
