MOB dresses

MOB dresses

both FMIL's want to wait until a month before the wedding to order their dress because they are trying to lose weight. Is it just me or does this sound a little too long to wait? I know I can be neurotic about timing so before I tell FH to speak to them I want to make sure I'm not being a 'bridezilla'. Thanks girls!

Honestly I don't think you are being neurotic at all My mom ordered her dress on Jan 21st. It is coming in on May 20.

Re: MOB dresses

My mom is in the process of trying to lose weight, she just joined the gym and she ordered her dress today.

She ordered the size that fit her now incase she didn't lose anything and they said they will not do the fitting until 6 weeks bfore and they can take a dress in tremendously if she ended up losing alot.

Honestly to wait 1 month before is really cutting it close unless they are buying off the rack and won't need alterations.

Like I said my mom is getting her fitting 6 weeks before so imagine if it wasn't even ordered until 4 weeks before.

I can't imagine that being able to work. The dress probably won't even be in in time let alone time for alterations.

I say, tell them to start looking sooner and even if they lost 20 lbs. in 2 months they will still be fine.

my FMIL is doing the same thing...it obviously wont be a designer dress that takes months to come in..she'll be getting something from somewhere she can just buy...but she wants to lose weight so she wont order it earlier, and im fine with that..im sure she'll still find something beautiful

hmmm... i don't think a month before is enough time at all...
i can sympathize with the wanting to lose weight, but i wouldn't want to end up in a tight spot should things not work out... i hate waiting 'til the last minute.

You are right. There is no point in you getting upset over it.
