FMIL informed me that she was going to be wearing one dress for the church and another one for the RH....So now I have to find my mom ANOTHER effing dress too.

Ladies...are your mother changing dresses?????????

I thought it was one dress for everything...

Re: MOB dresses

ive heard of it but its a very old fashioned tradition kind of like not wearing white if your not a virgin, that not many people follow anymore.

if shes following the traditional im thinking of than shes probably planning to wear a very simple dress or suit to the ceremony and then something much fancier for the reception. i would tell her not to, wont she feel sily taking pictures at the church when the other ladies are in gowns and the men in tuxes? its a waste of money tell her to wear her fancy dress for both.

and dont make your mom buy another dress these dresses are too damn expensive almost everyone just wears the same dress to church and the reception these days

So random! I'd try and talk her out of it, too, and I definitely would not ask your mom go out and buy a second dress to wear.

Re: MOB dresses

not to sound too much like a bridezilla, but wouldn't the FMIL changing outfits from ceremony to reception take away from the BRIDE? (You aren't changing, correct?)

I personally, as the bride, want to wear one dress the whole time, but I know some brides like a more fun party dress for the reception. But I've never heard of this for the MOB/MOG?? It just seems like too much.

Dfeinitely try and talk her out of it. Tell her you don't want her upstaging you! hehe
