MOB dresses-plus sizes

so moms,

any suggestions for where to find plus sized MOB dresses?

etd to add: also where they have plus sized samples too?

my mom actually got her dress at estelle's on rt 110.....she didn't want to be 'overdone' like so many of the dresses she tried on and loved the simple elegance bu yet fanciness of her gown!!

For my daughters October wedding, I got my gown at Catherines in Patchogue. And for my sons July weddings, JC Penny. Both gowns were inexpensive, and are classy.
My seamstress has both of them right now. When I get them back I'll post pictures.

My friends Mom is going to look at Sugar Plum and Big Shots -- both are in either Lynrbook or Rockville Centre.

i was just checking out what was here - i also have a wonderful lady who is making my wedding dress for me in east meadow
she is very reasonable and is making my mom's dress too!

my sister who is 3x got a wonderful outfit at bloomingdale's

Hi Moms! My mom got her dress ofr my sister's wedding at Ivory and Co.. It's on staten island, but they're wonderful and it's worth the drive! They're on new dorp lane in staten island. 718 980 1660

Darly would you please post pictures also. Momwithtissues, I'd love to see both of yours.

How does it work? Did the seamstress have pictures to go by or did you and your mom need to go with your own ideas? What about the fabric? Does she have samples, do you buy it? Do you give hr a pattern? How long is it taking her? How did you hear of her?
I'd be very interested in learning more.

I'm not a plus size but I just finished with my daughter's wedding and honestly, I am not in the mood to start hunting down gowns again. It seems like I just did it yesterday. LOL!

my mom got hers at lidia's. I tried on the dress for her just to give her an idea.

my mom and i went shopping to day at adriennes. most of the samples were 10, 12, 14, and some 16 and 18s. a little bit disappointing b/c it really is hard to tell. we are going to check out some places in merrick and massapequa tomorrow.

they had alot of jovani, and we happened to have gone during a jovani trunk show. service was lacking for a while, but then a really sweet salesperson ,i think her name was nicole, helped out and got my mom a corset bra and actually found a stunning gown in navy that looked beautiful on her. we are not going to get her gown from there b/c she lives in nassau, but i would go there again to try on more dresses.

we went to totallly you in bellmore and bridal reflections massapequa. my mom found a stunning jovani gown, but it was $950 at bridal reflections, but at totally you it was $789. totally you said b/c they buy in bulk they can give a discount to jovani. they had alot of plus sized samples. here is the dress we loved:

Groovypeg, that is the same gown my DIL's mom wore to her other daughter's wedding last July. It is stunning! I saw it today again but I didn't bother to check the price. I went to Dina's on South Oyster Bay Road, near Ann Taylor Loft and Bed Bath & Beyond. I actually thought of you because they had a said saying they have Plus sizes. BR is quite expensive on everything.

I am so psyched my mom got her dress at saks
She came home w/ 10 plus- sized dresses from all the major dept. stores all on sale and all looked amazing
She is keeping the one we loved the most - she looks so pretty!!

we went to nordstroms and bloomies today also, but no luck in the dress department. i think she is going to get it from totally you! i think she looked the best in the above dress and i really want her to be happy and to feel good, no matter what the cost!
